LUMATEK FITTING ADAPTER PGZ18 TO E40 PORCELAIN

To use a ceramic metal halide lamp (also known as CMH / CDM / LEC) as a grow light, you need an adapter. This Lumatek Fitting Adapter converts a CDM grow light or flower bulb into an E40 fitting so you can easily connect the lamp to a ballast.

Instructions
Screw the adapter into your current reflector E40 fitting and screw the CDM lamp as tightly as possible into the converter in your reflector. Use a clean, dry cloth for this. Tighten the lamp as tightly as possible. Failure to do so may cause sparks to form between the center contact of the lamp and the bulb holder. This will cause the solder contact on the bottom of the lamp to melt, causing damage and making it unusable. Therefore, make sure that the lamp is clean and completely free of fingerprints. Finally, hang your reflector at the correct height for the CMH lamp. Plug in the power cord and turn it on. The ballast starts up and illuminates the lamp.

The wattage of your ballast MUST match the wattage of the lamp you are using. Once this deviates, there is a high risk of fire or equipment damage. In addition, never use an HPS or MH ballast with CMH lamps.
